There’s Nothing Scary about CBD
The leaves are changing color, days are getting shorter, and temperatures are getting chillier day
by day. Yes, October has arrived, and it is traditionally the season of tricks, treats, and
celebrating the scary aspects of life.
One thing that shouldn’t scare you in the least is incorporating a CBD supplement into your
health and wellness regimen. Let’s face it, health is on everyone’s minds these days, perhaps
more so than any time in recent memory. It’s only natural to want do everything you can to
ensure that you perform at peak levels and stay happy and healthy as the seasons change.
When our bodies react to seasonal changes, many of us start to suffer from complications
related to allergy and sinus issues. In return, we make every attempt to boost immune health.
For years people have turned to time-tested natural supplements for immune support, and over
the last few years CBD has taken the health and wellness market by storm. CBD has helped so
many who struggle with chronic pain, stress, anxiety, sleeplessness, and overall immune health
just to name a few of the reasons for CBD’s rise in popularity.
Any time a “new” product emerges that can help with so many common health issues, it’s only
natural for people to be somewhat skeptical, but there is nothing scary about trying CBD! To
prove it, we’re going to address the most common fears and misconceptions people have when
it comes to our favorite, helpful, healing cannabinoid from the hemp plant!
“Is CBD even legal?”
First off, this certainly isn’t an irrational concern! Hemp derived CBD products are protected
under the expanded 2018 Farm Bill. Any CBD supplement you purchase from Terrapin Select is
made from domestic hemp grown by the very finest American cultivators.
“Will CBD get me “high”?”
We are happy to report that the answer is a firm “no”. CBD supplements are not intoxicating,
and will not impair your ability to go to work, drive a car, etc.
“Back to that last question, what about Full Spectrum CBD supplements?!”
Hemp derived Full Spectrum CBD that’s grown in the United States according to the parameters
laid out in the Farm Bill contains less than .3% THC. That is a miniscule amount and will not get
you high. That trace amount of THC isn’t enough to be psychoactive, but it’s enough to get the
benefits of the whole plant, what people usually refer to as the “entourage effect.”
“What if I dose wrong and wind up taking too much CBD?”
You can’t take too much CBD. Our bodies are wired to receive it, and you will not overdose on
this safe, natural cannabinoid. There are zero cannabinoid receptors located in your brain stem,
which is responsible for your heartbeat and breathing. Therefore, there’s no amount of
cannabinoids that can shut those functions down.
“I don’t have my medical marijuana card, can I still buy CBD?”
Lots of people have confused CBD with “medical marijuana.” First of all – get the word
marijuana out of your vocabulary altogether. Call that plant by its true name – cannabis! Since
CBD we are talking about are derived from cannabis that is classified as industrial hemp, which
means it doesn’t have more than .3% of THC in the whole plant, you do not need a medical card
to purchase it. Sure, many top-notch cannabis dispensaries will carry a high–quality CBD tincture
or two for their patients’ convenience, but CBD is not federally restricted in the same fashion as
No medical card required.
See? Nothing scary in the least. All of the things we shared above were valid concerns that
people have voiced to us over the course of our time in the CBD space. We wanted to share
them to provide you with a sense of comfort & relief in case you’ve ever had the same kinds of
questions. Have even more questions? We’d love to respond to them! Contact us at:
